  Before we go, are you working on any other projects apart from The Pacific?

  I’ve just finished a movie called The Social Network with Justin Timberlake, which was a great experience.

  It’s a story about the founders of Facebook and I’m really looking forward to seeing that released later this year.

  What’s Justin Timberlake like?

  Justin Timberlake is so warm and so nice – but he really doesn’t have to be.

  He’s the most famous person in the world and I know that’s not easy all the time, but he takes everything in his stride.

  Are you on Facebook?

  I see great value in something like Facebook. When I was a kid, there was no such thing as the internet.

  I would go off and have these great relationships on movie sets, but four months later you have to say goodbye and it’s all over.

  Sometimes you never see these people again because it’s just too difficult to stay in touch. I live in upstate New York and they live on the other side of the country.

  You can call, but you always lose touch. However, now I feel I can stay connected to all of the guys that I worked with on The Pacific from Australia, London and Canada via Facebook.

  It’s like I’m still part of their lives and I know what’s happening with them. It’s nice to still have that bond. It allows us to stay stronger.

  It definitely can be abused and people can definitely use it for very bad things, but there are a lot of positive things to come from it too.

  So are you Justin Timberlake’s Facebook friend?

  No. [Laughing] Does he even have a Facebook account? I have no idea. I am his real friend, though. And that’s even better than Facebook!
