It’s not easy being the woman behind «Glee»‘s Terri Schuester.
Playing a lunatic is tiring, especially when there’s a fake pregnancy involved. And on top of that, it turns out poor Jessalyn Gilsig (Terri) is being kept away from the show’s high-profile guest stars too.
When KTV got some quality time with her this week, we asked if she had worked with Neil Patrick Harris or Joss Whedon on the «Glee» episode they’re currently filming, but she told us she wouldn’t really be crossing paths with either of them.
«It’s so hard when you’re Terri — for a lot of reasons — but one is them is that I’m kind of isolated,» Gilsig says in the clip below. «So unless I go to set and stalk [Neil]… I really should, actually. I kind of was really upset, I was there one day and they were like, Oh you just missed Olivia Newton-John. And I was like, Come on, guys!… Listen, apparently I’m trouble. They keep me far away and then bring me in when no one they need to impress is around.»
Gilsig is of course joking. For the most part. And she did have better luck when it came to a certain «Wicked» actress who will appear in the second half of the season.
«I did meet Idina [Menzel], thank you,» she says. «But Kristin [Chenoweth] was the same thing [as Olivia Newton-John]. I remember coming to set and saying i can’t wait to meet her, and they were like, She just left. I feel like there’s a conspiracy. I’m getting really freaked out.»
Well, freaked out or not, we feel like a famous love interest for T. Scheuster could make up for what she’s missed.
«Oh my gosh!» Gilsig exclaimed when we proposed the plan. «Do you mean Justin Timberlake? Okay!… [Justin] should play Justin Timberlake… Excellent. Done. Make the call.»

Lea Michele might have lost out to Toni Collette at the Golden Globes on Sunday (January 17), but «Glee» did manage to take home the award for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical. With a statue now under the show’s belt, the actress dished on what superstar she’d like to see make a cameo in the hit Fox musical show: She’d like Emmy winner Justin Timberlake to challenge Mr. Schuester himself, Matthew Morrison, to a dance-off.
«You know, I am so onboard with our writers. Whatever they put in front of me, I’m like, ‘Great,’ » she said. «But I would love Justin Timberlake to come on the show. … He’s an amazing comedic actor, as well as an incredible singer and dancer, and that’s very ‘Glee.’ »
She even has the story line figured out: «I think that he and Matt could have a nice little dance-off — what do you think?» But before then, she’s eyeing a cameo for herself on Morrison’s still-in-the-works solo album. «I mean, if he would have me, I would be so happy, of course!» she gushed.
The rising star admitted that being at the Golden Globes wasn’t as overwhelming as she thought it would be. «It’s a lot smaller than I imagined. It’s very quaint, and I like that,» she told MTV News on the red carpet.
Despite all the marquee names in attendance, she was most excited to see her «Glee» co-star. «Kevin McHale,» she said. «It has to be Kevin McHale. I saw Kevin McHale, and my jaw, it fell to the floor, my heart started pounding, palms sweating. That’s it. My night’s done!»

Get ready for the best Glee scoop ever…and no, it’s not that boss Ryan Murphy just told me he’s working toward getting Justin Timberlake on for season two. Or even that Hugh Jackman and Queen Latifah’s names are also being tossed around.
As for Justin Timberlake, Ryan tells me he’s «in the plan»: «[Justin] is the one the kids jump up and down about every day and beg me to meet with him. I’m a huge fan of his music. I think he’s so talented. And he’s a true triple threat: He can sing, dance, and act. So yeah, we’d love to have him on. We start shooting the second season in July and I think I will work some magic around that time for him if I can.»
Matthew Morrison had this to say about that other curly-headed triple threat coming on the show: «I don’t think he could handle this. But if he wants to go toe to toe with Mr. Schuester, bring it on, J.T.! He’s amazing; I have so much respect for that guy. What a talent. I would love for him to be on the show.»
Morrison, who by the way is straight-up adorable in person, not only busts a few moves and talks about his «broke dancing» in this video clip (love), but you can also hear him explain why he’s not doing the Glee tour…
Amber Riley (Mercedes) joked she thinks J.T. is behind the casting: «I think J.T. has been trying to put a little buzz in people’s ears, too. [Points to camera.] I hear you on these interviews that you want to be on Glee. I’m pushing for you 100 percent
