Britney Spears may seem like an unlikely role model especially after her troubled past, but Disney bosses have picked her to mentor the studio’s young Disney stars. Executives have approached her in a bid to avoid another meltdown like the one suffered by 18-year-old singer and actress Demi Lovato earlier this month.
Britney’s fellow Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeer Justin Timberlake has also been asked to help come and counsel the young stars. Disney believes the two will be perfect to counsel young stars about the trials and tribulations of being a young star faced with fame and fortune. If the stars have some one to look up to, it might help them stay on the straight and narrow. Britney, herself has faced many problems after hitting it big at 18 years old with the Baby One More Time hit. But she went into a downward spiral going into drug rehabilitation, the notorious public head shaving incident and even at one stage losing custody of her young sons.
Now at 29 Britney seems to have pieced her life together and getting her recording back under full swing. After recently appearing on Glee during season 2, her fame has rocketed and several stars feel inspired by her story. What do you think of Britney being a counselor?
