Justin Timberlake logra un nuevo nº 1 en EE UU con ‘My love’

Tras encabezar la lista de singles durante siete semanas con SexyBack, el cantante de Memphis vuelve ahora a ocupar la primera posición con el nuevo sencillo de FutureSex/LoveSounds, que asimismo fue nº 1 de álbumes en su día. En My love Justin Timberlake ha contado con la colaboración del rapero T.I.

Justin Timberlake se confirma como uno de los triunfadores del año en Estados Unidos con su segundo nº 1 consecutivo en la lista de singles. El artista, que recientemente ha anunciado las fechas de una maratoniana gira mundial de cara a 2007, ha estado sólo dos semanas ausente del primer puesto de la lista, el tiempo transcurrido desde que SexyBack cedió el nº 1 a Money maker de Ludacris.

En cuanto a la lista de álbumes, el nuevo nº 1 es para la banda sonora del telefilme de Disney Hannah Montana. Un éxito en la estela del conseguido a comienzos de año por High school musical, protagonizado en este caso por la jovencita Miley Cyrus, hija por cierto del cantante de country Billy Ray Cyrus que triunfara en los noventa con Achy breaky heart.

Por detrás, se han tenido que conformar con el segundo y tercer puesto respectivamente dos noevedades tan potentes como The black parade de My Chemical Romance y Once again de John Legend. En el resto del top 10 seguimos encontrando los últimos trabajos de Justin Timberlake, Evanescence, P.Diddy, Tony Bennett, Nickelback y The Killers.

Justin Timberlake nets his second No. 1 single of the year and of his solo career, as «My Love» featuring T.I. ascends four rungs to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. With that cut, which is also the chart’s greatest airplay and digital gainer, and «SexyBack», Timberlake becomes the first male artist to boast back-to-back No. 1s since Usher earned four straight in 2004.

«My Love» ends the two-week run of Ludacris’ «Money Maker» featuring Pharrell, which falls to No. 3 after two weeks atop the Hot 100. The Timberlake track also rises 5-1 on the Pop 100, sending Hinder’s «Lips of an Angel» to No. 3 after a week, and rockets 12-1 on Hot Digital Songs, knocking Akon’s «Smack That» featuring Eminem to No. 2 after a week.

On the Hot 100, the Akon track holds at No. 2 while Hinder falls 3-4. Elsewhere on the chart, «SexyBack» dips 4-5, Fergie’s «Fergalicious» leaps 19-6 and the Fray’s «How To Save a Life» descends 6-7.

JoJo’s «Too Little Too Late» drops 7-9 and Chris Brown’s «Say Goodbye» rounds out the top tier, rising 12-10. The Brown cut also leads Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a second week.

Breaking a record on the Hot 100, Disney’s Hannah Montana debuts six singles on the chart — the most by an artist in one week. The sitcom’s titular soundtrack bowed atop The Billboard 200 this week.

Each song was fueled by digital sales, with «If We Were a Movie» earning the Hot 100’s top debut at No. 47, followed by «I Got Nerve» (No. 67), «Pumpin’ Up the Party» (No. 81), «The Other Side of Me» (No. 84), «This Is the Life» (No. 89) and «Just Like You» (No. 99). With «Who Said» reentering the chart at No. 83, Montana has the most singles on the Hot 100 since the chart began using Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen BDS data in 1991.

Also new to the chart are John Legend’s «Save Room» (No. 61) and John Mellencamp’s «Our Country» (No. 88).

On Hot Country Songs, Carrie Underwood’s «Before He Cheats» climbs 2-1, swapping positions with Dierks Bentley’s «Every Mile a Memory», while Natasha Bedingfield’s «Unwritten» leads Adult Contemporary for a third week.

David Bisbal’s «Quien Me Iba A Decir» trades slots once again with Wisin & Yandel’s «Pam Pam» on Hot Latin Songs while John Carpenter’s «Halloween» notches a fourth week atop Hot Ringtones.

Disturbed’s cover of Genesis’ «Land of Confusion» fronts Mainstream Rock for a second week and My Chemical Romance’s «Welcome to the Black Parade» leads Modern Rock for the same frame.
